Azenta, Inc. has formed a strategic partnership with Frontier Space to advance scientific research conducted in microgravity environments. The collaboration includes participation in the EGGS-2 mission, which tested Frontier’s SpaceLab Mk 2 research platform under actual spaceflight conditions. Azenta supplied 42 FluidX 0.26mL tubes, known for their precision and durability, to securely hold experimental samples during the mission launched in January 2026.
The project focused on evaluating the platform’s active thermal management systems, critical for maintaining controlled temperature conditions during space-based life sciences experiments. This partnership allows Azenta to demonstrate the performance of its sample management technologies in challenging environments, supporting the expansion of its products into new research applications.
